Ice Cream Lid Wreath?

Do I have too many wreaths? Maybe, but I made another one! I didn't have a summer wreath, and that just needed to change.

I've been avoiding going shopping so to avoid crowds right- you know, social distancing. So I had to use what I had!

I wash and keep all my gallon ice cream containers and I currently have more ice cream in my freezer, so I took the one lid I had saved and cut it up!

I found some fake flowers that I had stored away "just in case." And pulled twine, ribbon, burlap and hot glue!

I wrapped that ice cream lid up in twine and what happened? It warped all funny! Ok So what do you do in this situation? Give up? Find something else you could use for a wreath? Just use it the way it turned out? I used it. I couldn't think of anything else I could use at that moment and I had already spent the time wrapping it in thin twine.

I'm sure if I had wrapped it more carefully or hadn't wrapped it so tightly this wouldn't have happened. But perhaps this funky shape will create a more dynamic look!

From straight on you can't even tell that the sides are two inches away from the door!

I used sunflowers, little blue flowers, and some white balls to add some fun summer colors. And then of course to match the twine I put a burlap bow. I didn't end up using the ribbon. I didn't think it needed it. Do you think it comes off as a summer wreath? Bright and fun?

I now have 11 wreaths. There is only one that I don't really use, I'll have to fix that sometime. Now, how do I store all those wreaths? In a closet on hangers. This way they don't get broken and I can see each of them with trouble.

I have a wreath for most holidays and/or season. I think wreaths brighten the doorstep and make it more inviting for people to visit with cookies.
