New Table!

I am so excited! When we got married we waited almost a year to buy a table. We didn't really need a table because we ate meals at different times due to school and work. The first table we bought was a used table set. It cost us around $35. The table was black when we bought it, and the 6 chairs were three different colors. 2 purple, 2 green, and 2 blue. The chairs were all different shapes too, only 2 of them came from the same original set. We were fine with this cheap table. It added color to our dark basement apartment and it served its purpose.

Well, the chairs have all slowly been falling apart and we were down to 3 working chairs when we moved into our new home in June 2019. Luckily we are a family of three so it wasn't a huge deal...Except for two things! We are going to expand our family again one day and I would love to have people over for meals or game nights! Can't do that if we can't seat anyone.

Old table

After a year of being in this home, we finally did it. New dining table set! We bought it off Amazon for $500 (It went on sale for 3 days). I wanted 4 chairs and a bench. Our dining area isn't big so I thought having a bench would be practical so we could slide under the table when we needed more space.

They didn't take too long to be shipped to our place, about 4-5 days. The chairs and bench arrived first. Oh, I was so excited. My husband was too because he came home an hour early from work to help me put them together.

Our son was so curious about what we were doing and he, of course, wanted to see all the action up close.

Our table came the next day and we were so ready for it. We shoved our old table in the shed (to be sold in the summer, not dealing with that thing in the snow).

This dining set was so easy to assemble. I am so happy with the result and the product. Five stars in my book!

The wood tops matched our wood floors almost perfectly and the white legs brightened everything up. Loving how our home is coming together!

Three and a half years of marriage and now we have our first real dining set! Looks so good in our beautiful home.
